Riten Industries introduces the “Blue Typhoon”! The Blue Typhoon is a technologically advanced live center, designed to add speed and efficiency to workholding operations. It was developed to solve many of the operating problems experienced with traditional live centers. The Typhoon features an exclusive quad seal design which prevents coolant and other foreign materials from contacting the bearings, eliminating the contamination problems experienced with ordinary live centers. The patent pending design features precision ceramic bearings. Ceramic bearings run cooler at high speeds promoting longer service life while maintaining accuracies up to +/- .00005. The bearings also enhance the rigidity of the center, minimizing deflection and chatter. The Blue Typhoon’s 12,000 RPM rating is unsurpassed in the industry, making it especially suitable for hard turning and other high speed applications.

The Blue Typhoon is offered in 4MT and 5MT tapers, with a choice of standard, tracer or long point spindles.
