Where all women with cancer are “gorgeous”…

For several years, Allen Boehnlein, a regional sales manager for Riten Industries, has been doing volunteer work for this uplifting organization.(He also works throughout the year on various events and fund raisers for other organizations, including raising money by riding in “Bike Michiana for Hospice”.)

An annual gala Hello Gorgeous! is held in South Bend, Indiana every November. Every lady attending is greeted at the door with the words “Hello Gorgeous” and escorted to her seat. During the event, Allen (pictured here) and other escorts participate in “red light specials”, answer questions, and carry the silent auction items to the ladies’ cars after the event.

In affiliate salons across the United States, women are surprised with flowers, chocolates and a big “Hello Gorgeous!”. They are pampered with such spa services as a manicure, pedicure, facial and seated massage, and are given instructions on the makeup application and hair care (or hair substitution) methods best suited to their individual situation.
